
Joint project of the Public Services Agency under the Ministry of Justice and UNDP in Uzbekistan “Improving the delivery of public services and improving the level of governance in rural areas of Uzbekistan”, funded by the European Union and Component of “Poll survey оn availability of public services and the level of awareness of residents about the types and methods of obtaining public services in rural remote territories of 3 regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, is implemented with the aim of improving the quality of life of vulnerable people in rural areas, such as women, youth and children, the elderly and people with disabilities, by expanding their access to public services and improving the quality of their provision. More specific aims of the project encompass: • Determination of the level of awareness of the rural population about public services, the procedure and methods of obtaining them; • Analysis of study of existing methods of providing information to the rural population about public services; • Research on awareness of the rural population about the types of public services in line with determination of the list of services in demand in rural areas; • Identifying social, bureaucratic and institutional, infrastructural barriers preventing access and proper provision of public services, as well as technical and other problems.
