The significance of the dairy industry is evident across the globe, and to harness its potential, the project “Development of the value chain in the dairy sector” has allocated a portion of its grant funds to promote study tours. This initiative is especially designed for representatives of agro-industrial enterprises, farms, and dehkan farms from the Jizzakh and Kashkadarya regions. The overarching goal is to provide these delegates with rich experiences and learnings from European nations with a thriving dairy industry.
Last summer marked a significant milestone in this endeavor. Encompass Consulting organized a strategic trip to Turkey, catering to a select delegation of eight participants, representing both the private and public sectors. This was part of the broader framework of the Uzbekistan Dairy Sector Value Chain Development Project.
The delegation visited the cities of Ankara and Istanbul. During these visits, the group engaged with the Secretary General of the Turkish National Dairy Council and other key figures from the livestock and dairy sectors. These meetings provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking.

During the visit to Istanbul, the delegation visited production workshops and animal farms, where they were able to familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of animal husbandry in Turkish farms, as well as methods of care and feeding of cattle. This fruitful trip contributed to the acquisition of new knowledge in the dairy industry for farmers and producers of Uzbekistan, as well as opened new opportunities for potential cooperation in the future.
