The Jizzakh CCGT Power Plant Project is an ambitious initiative to construct a 550-megawatt combined cycle gas turbine power plant in Jizzakh, Uzbekistan. Led by Cenergo LLC, this Build-Own-Operate model project aims to enhance Uzbekistan’s energy infrastructure, ensuring reliable and efficient electricity generation. Utilizing advanced combined cycle technology, the plant is designed to achieve higher energy efficiency while minimizing environmental impact, contributing to the region’s sustainable development goals.
Our team facilitates the project by coordinating with stakeholders, identifying qualified construction firms, and managing the selection and engagement of technical experts. We began by conducting comprehensive environmental assessments, including air, water, soil, and biodiversity studies, to establish a baseline and identify potential impacts. Through detailed evaluations, we developed mitigation strategies and integrated them into an Environmental and Social Management Plan, ensuring alignment with local and international standards. With construction ongoing, the project is on track for completion by August 2028, when the power plant is expected to deliver substantial benefits to Uzbekistan’s energy sector.
